The team at Greenline Dental Centre are looking for a passionate and hard working Licensed Dental Assistant on a part-time basis.

About the Role

The Licensed Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting dental professionals to deliver high-quality patient care within a dental practice.

This position involves preparing patients for dental procedures, assisting the dentist during treatments, and ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain patient records accurately and manage appointment scheduling efficiently.

Additionally, the Certified Dental Assistant educates patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health.

Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to the smooth operation of the dental office and the positive experience of patients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certification as a Dental Assistant recognized by a Canadian provincial regulatory body.
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Proven experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dental practice management software such as Tracker.
  • Additional certification in dental radiography.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • Previous experience as a Licensed Dental Assistant
  • Continuing education or professional development courses related to dental assisting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for patient procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functioning properly.
  • Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and providing patient comfort.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required, following safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment details and medical histories, using dental practice management software.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions to support their dental health.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety regulations within the dental office.

Schedule

Saturday only from 9am to 6pm.

Requirements
