Live your dream in vibrant small-town BC! Practice Emergency Medicine at an exemplary hospital in Powell River, British Columbia—a diverse and dynamic oceanside community of approximately 22,000 people, where sunsets and whale watching are right at your doorstep. Whether you're a passionate mountain biker, avid sailor, or a part-time artist or musician, the qathet regional district offers an unparalleled lifestyle. Looking for an ideal place to raise a family? Our community boasts a diverse selection of quality schools, a recreation complex featuring two ice rinks, a swimming pool, and a live performance theatre. This position requires an Emergency Physician to work a variety of shifts. Come join a dedicated cohort in a well-supported emergency department. You'll collaborate with specialists in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Radiology, OBGYN, Psychiatry, and Ophthalmology, and embrace the many rewards of a small-town lifestyle. Emergency Physicians require current certification in ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NRP. We operate as four shifts per day, one of which is double-coverage during the busiest daytime hours. Education, Licensing, & Experience: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Mandatory Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Mandatory Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Emergency Medicine - Desired Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL) - Mandatory Closing Statement Interested in applying? Requirements

Candidates must hold current certification in ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NRP and possess full licensure with the College of Physicians of BC. A Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) certification is mandatory, while CCFP-Emergency Medicine is desired.
