Position Summary

We are hiring for a permanent full-time Respiratory Therapist at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail. This position works in acute care and the high acuity response team (HART) team, and the position includes pre-shift on call during the summer. Applicable positions may qualify for up to $20,000 as a recruitment incentive and/or be eligible for relocation allowance. Apply today! Days of Work: Rotating days and nights. Typically a four on then five off schedule Shift times/Hours of work: 06:50 to 19:17 and 19:17 to 06:50

About the Role

In this role, you will provide respiratory care in alignment with Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) standards and a client- and family-centered care model. You will work both independently and collaboratively to support clients with a range of acute and chronic cardio-respiratory conditions. This position involves consulting with other healthcare professionals, contributing to quality improvement, and applying best practices in respiratory therapy. You will also maintain and advance your clinical skills and may participate in committees, team initiatives, and approved research projects. Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada (HPTC) Credentialing Exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). Current valid BC Driver’s License.
