Reduce the acquisition of healthcare-associated infections by developing standards for and monitoring infection control measures across acute, long term care, and community settings within IH.
Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control initiatives using quality improvement methodologies and evidence-informed practice.

Royal Inland Hospital, located in Kamloops, B.C., is seeking a permanent full-time Infection Control Practitioner to join our team. Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Three (3) years’ recent related clinical experience in an acute or long term care setting. Two (2) years’ recent experience working directly with infection control processes (outbreak management, point-of-care risk assessment, routine practices, additional precautions). Completion of, or enrollment in, an IPAC Canada endorsed Infection Prevention and Control course (including options listed in the posting) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
