The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has an opening for a permanent full-time Registered Dental Hygienist in the Public Health Unit.
The Registered Dental Hygienist provides screening, preventive clinical services, counselling and education about oral health issues to community members in accordance with the Ontario Public Health Standards. These services are provided in schools, the Oral Health clinic at the Health Unit, and in outreach community clinics and other community settings.

Driver’s licence/vehicle requirements
Because this position would be required to travel, a valid Province of Ontario driver's license with a reliable motor vehicle is necessary.
Background check requirements
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check prior to commencement of employment. A background check may include the following: education/certification verification and employment reference check. Because of the environment this position will be working in, the successful candidate will be required to furnish an original Police Information Search (Vulnerable Sector Check) prior to commencement of employment.
This permanent full-time position has an hourly wage of $33.96 and will receive benefits including: participation in the OMERS pension plan (mandatory) and a group benefits plan following the successful completion of a 90-calendar day waiting period as per the CUPE 12.3 collective agreement.

Candidates must hold a diploma in Dental Hygiene and have at least two years of clinical experience in a dental practice. A valid Ontario driver's license and registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario are mandatory.
