Salary Details The salary range for this position is CAD $36.69/Hr. - CAD $45.81/Hr.

Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Radiological Technologist to join the UPCC City Centre team.

As a Radiological Technologist with Vancouver Coastal Health you will: Practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as within a patient and family centred care model and the vision and values of the department.

Perform diagnostic radiographic/fluoroscopic and medical imaging procedures/techniques and related duties while observing safe radiation protection practices.

Receive and complete requisitions, entering relevant data into the Radiology Information System (RIS).

Prepare patients for examination.

Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment including processing radiographs and archiving of acquired data.

Monitor patient during procedures.

Monitor equipment performance and maintain cleanliness of examination rooms.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience Certification with the CAMRT. Successful completion of a recognized program in Medical Radiology. Knowledge & Abilities Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality. Demonstrated knowledge of organization policies, procedures and standards of care, including practice of safe work procedures with modality equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of research process and methodology. Demonstrated knowledge of PACS/Radiology Information Systems, i.e. digital imaging, image archiving and retrieval. Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) and deal effectively with clients and their families, co-workers, physicians, other health care staff and staff of external agencies. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others. Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others. Demonstrated ability in CPR techniques. Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position. Requirements

Must hold CAMRT certification and have successfully completed a recognized program in Medical Radiology. Requires demonstrated proficiency in operating imaging equipment, knowledge of evidence-based practice, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
