The Oetjgoapeniag Elnoei Family Services Agency is seeking qualified individuals to fill the position of Social Worker or Social Work Technician within the Child Welfare / Child Protection Program. This position is based in the community of Elsipogtog First Nation, New Brunswick.
Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, the successful candidate will provide services within Child Protection Services. The primary role will be within the Child Protection Program. Training, mentorship, and ongoing support will be provided. An after-hours emergency services rotation is required, in one-week increments several times per year.
& Requirements: Social Worker (SW) / Social Work Technician (SWT): Social Service Community Worker (SSCW) diploma, or Bachelor's/Masters in Social Work. Registration or eligibility for registration with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers is required for both Social Worker (SW) and Social Work Technician positions (SWT). Genuine interest in working within Mi'kmaq culture. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
