Counsellor / Social Worker Schedule: 5 Days/week

STATUS: Permanent, full time

Location: Coquitlam, bc

Telus health is seeking a dedicated clinician to join our new telus office in coquitlam.

The ideal candidate will provide short-Term counselling services to employees of client organizations facing personal, family, or work-Related challenges. This role is crucial in promoting mental health and well-Being within the workplace, reflecting telus health's core values of empathy, innovation, and excellence.

Engage in solution-Focused therapy, supporting a diverse range of clients and presenting concerns.

Utilize a strength-Based approach to empower clients throughout the change process.

Address a variety of issues including risk, addiction, relationship difficulties, parenting, family conflict, grief, aging, depression, and anxiety.

Deliver exceptional clinical services while embracing the telus health culture of continuous learning.

Efficiently manage administrative requirements in accordance with the client's eap model.

Effectively manage intake processes, conduct thorough assessments, and develop effective treatment plans.

Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in counselling, psychology, social work or related field.

Membership in good-Standing with professional order or college bcacc, ccc, bccsw

Certified or extensively trained in solution-Focused therapy (Sft), acceptance and commitment therapy (Act), and, or narrative therapy.

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of post-Master's clinical experience, supporting all client groups.
  • Experienced with diverse & complex concerns such as couples, family, risk, and addictions.
  • Proficient with office suite, digital communication, and case tracking.
  • Experienced in utilizing performance metrics to enhance client satisfaction and optimize service delivery.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a high-Volume environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to the ebb and flow of daily responsibilities.

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of post-master's clinical experience supporting diverse client groups. Required qualifications also include active membership in a professional order/college and certification or extensive training in Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), ACT, or Narrative Therapy.
