This is a full-time permanent role, ideal for an OT who enjoys a fast pace and working with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the health of your community through a connected healthcare experience.
Your impact
As the Occupational Therapist working with a multi disciplinary team, you will develop individualized treatment plans to address the specific needs of each client in the program with a focus on Return to Work.
Evaluate the worker's physical, cognitive, and psychological functions, as well as job demands and workplace environment
Create tailored, graded return-to-work plans with specific, measurable goals that gradually increase activity and build tolerance.
Perform clinical evaluations, provide exercises, functional tasks, and cognitive strategies (e.g., pacing, energy conservation) to address injury-related deficits.
Occupational Health screenings to evaluate an employee's physical, cognitive, and functional capacity to ensure they can safely perform job duties
Identification of appropriate equipment needs with initiation of recommendations
Teach techniques like mindfulness, relaxation, and sleep hygiene to manage pain, fatigue, and emotional distress.
Provide education to the client and employer about the recovery process, the benefits of staying connected to work, and their roles in the plan.
Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart
Excel in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team environment
Exhibit sound professional judgment
