Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sonographer to join our Medical Imaging Department at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, in Trail, BC.   • Competitive wages About the Job In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with the standards of professional practice, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals. Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBH) performs a wide variety of exams including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, small parts, echo, and some interventional work (drainages and biopsies). We perform exams in outpatient and inpatient care (including ER and ICU). KBH’s Medical Imaging Department operates 7 days per week with rotating shift times. It consists of three scanning rooms (two general, vascular and small parts; one echo). The department averages 6,500 exams per year and 1,700 echo exams per year. This is a Relief Part Time (0.65) opportunity until the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day and evenings. Qualfications Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography). Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA). Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

Requirements
