Perform routine and/or complex histology tests using manual procedures and automated instruments.
Work in a team-based environment under general supervision of designated personnel.
Greet patients and collect and/or receive specimens.
Enter data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and related computer systems/programs.
Validate and report test results in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Maintain laboratory instruments.
Prepare solutions and control agents according to established procedures and safety standards.
Participate in departmental training programs across laboratory sections to learn new/existing tests and procedures

Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program. Successful completion of recognized competency assessment exam and registration in Histology (CAMLPR pathways) or CSMLS certification. One (1) year recent related experience. Ability to work rotating days and evenings in a fast-paced laboratory environment
