Responsible for the pre, intra, and post-operative care of surgical and procedural patients in a day care setting. This includes providing clinical support during minor surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety through continuous monitoring.
Overview and Purpose of the Role
Reporting directly to the Manager Surgical Day Care and Procedures. This role is responsible for pre, intra and post care of surgical and procedural patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to direct and deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in Surgical Day Care and Procedures in a safe and proficient manner according to individual patient needs.
The successful incumbent provides clinical support intraoperative throughout minor surgical procedures (Colonoscopy, gastroscopy, urological procedures) assesses and monitors the patient´s condition throughout the pre-operative post-operative period and assures patient safety.
The candidate will also provide clear clear education and communication, ensuring care meets individual needs while supporting our mission to improve access, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life throughout the community
• Participate in all mandatory training requirements and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, company Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines
