Join our innovative and growing team at Penticton Regional Hospital as a Infection Control Practitioner. We are seeking a Registered Nurse with recent acute or long-term care experience, including expertise in infection prevention and control processes such as outbreak management, point-of-care risk assessments, routine practices, and additional precautions. Candidates must have completed, or be enrolled in, an IPAC Canada-endorsed Infection Prevention and Control course. This relief full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient and staff safety while working within a collaborative and supportive healthcare team. This position is available until January 03, 2028, or the return of the incumbent. Shift Times: Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.
Registered Nurse with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)..
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing..
Three (3) years’ recent related clinical experience in an acute or long-term care setting, including two (2) years’ recent experience working directly with infection control processes (outbreak management, point of care risk assessment, routine practices, additional precautions)..
Completion of, or enrollment in, an IPAC Canada endorsed Infection Prevention and Control course (including options listed: Centennial College, Queen’s University, University of British Columbia, Bay River College) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience..
Valid Class 5 vehicle license required.
