Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care, the Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive primary health care services focused on health promotion, disease and injury prevention, treatment, and emergency care. Responsibilities include conducting advanced health assessments, developing differential diagnoses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing and managing pharmacological and therapeutic interventions, and delivering patient-centered care. The role collaborates with clients, families and interdisciplinary health care providers to develop and implement holistic care plans, including prenatal support for at-risk youth. The Nurse Practitioner facilitates a case management approach, supports individuals and communities in addressing health determinants and partners with health care and community organizations to improve outcomes for at-risk populations. The position also contributes to quality improvement initiatives and the enhancement of service delivery models.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner, along with registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan. A valid Class 5 driver's license and BCLS Level C certification are also required.
