Perform routine and/or complex laboratory tests using manual procedures and automated instruments.
Work in a team-based environment under general supervision of the Operations Supervisor, Professional Practice Leader, or other designated personnel.
Greet patients.
Collect and/or receive specimens.
Enter data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and related computer systems/programs.
Validate and report test results.
Maintain instruments.
Prepare solutions and control agents in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
Participate in departmental training programs across lab sections (e.g., microbiology, histology, cytology) to learn new/existing tests and procedures

Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program. Successful completion of recognized competency assessment exam and registration in relevant field(s) of practice: Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine (Science) via CAMLPR pathways, or certification with CSMLS. One (1) year recent related experience. Ability to work rotating days, evenings, and nights
