Market context

Necropsy roles are specialized and selective

In Quebec, necropsy technician openings tend to be limited to research, diagnostic, and veterinary settings, so candidates with hands-on laboratory or animal health training are often competitive. These roles are especially selective because employers typically want a D.E.C. in Animal Health or Medical Laboratory Technology, or a bachelor’s in Biology or a related life science, plus English for documentation and French for internal communication.
