Unit: Summary:
3B is a 20 bed Cardiology, Telemetry unit that cares for all types of acute cardiac patients; STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, as well as patients pre & post cardiac procedures.
Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure high quality care.
Responsible and accountable for decisions and actions in the provision and management of nursing care for cardiac patients.
Practitioner, consultant and educator for cardiac patient groups and health team members.
Responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice and THP Best Practices Protocols.

Requires registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and at least 2 years of acute medical/surgical experience. Must have BCLS and a physical assessment course, with Coronary Care certification required or committed to within six months.
