The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is a valued member of the interdisciplinary team within the department and organization. They are responsible for the coordination and delivery of quality patient care by assessing and identifying patient needs, implementing and monitoring the patients’ medical plan, and following HPHA policies and procedures. Additionally, the Registered Nurse must follow nursing processes within the profession’s and licensures scope of practice. They will provide education, advice and support to patients and family members.

Requires current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, BLS certification, and IV therapy training. A minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in acute care or Medicine/Complex Continuing Care is preferred.
