Physiotherapists are regulated health professionals who work with patients, families and caregivers to provide a patient-centered and evidence-based approach to care. The practice of physiotherapy is the assessment of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems, the diagnosis of diseases or disorders associated with physical dysfunction, injury or pain and the treatment, rehabilitation and prevention or relief of physical dysfunction, injury or pain to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment function and promote mobility.
At the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance – Therapies Department, Physiotherapists work in the following clinical areas: acute medicine, complex continuing care, rehabilitation, pediatrics, surgical services, stroke care (acute & rehabilitation), emergency department and inpatient mental health.

Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Physiotherapy and be a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and a valid Ontario driver's license for travel between sites.
