Come practice Emergency Medicine at an exemplary hospital in an amazingly varied town of ~22,000 people. Powell River, British Columbia is a beautiful oceanside community with sunsets and whale watching at your front doorstep. Whether you’re a mountain biker, sailor, part-time artist or musician, the qathet regional district is the answer. Looking for a great place to raise a family? We have a diverse selection of quality schools, a recreation complex with 2 ice rinks, a swimming pool and a live performance theatre. This position is for an Emergency Physician accommodating a variety of shifts. Come join a dedicated cohort in a well-supported emergency department with Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Radiology, Obs Gyne, Psychiatry, and Ophthalmology and embrace the many rewards of a small-town lifestyle. We operate as four shifts per day, one of which is double-coverage during the busiest daytime hours. Exact shifts/hours may vary based on department need. Education, Licensing, & Experience: Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC)- Full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP)- Mandatory Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) –- Emergency Medicine- Desired Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)- Mandatory Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- Mandatory Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL)- Desired Emergency Experience - Mandatory Closing Statement Interested in applying? Requirements

Candidates must hold a current College of Physicians of BC license and a Canadian College of Family Practitioners certification. Emergency experience is mandatory, along with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
