  • Wage: $21.19/hour + Shift Differential ($0.25 - $0.50/hour) Make a Difference in Your Community New Age Services Inc. is looking for enthusiastic, adaptable, and compassionate individuals to join our team as Community Disability Practitioners. This frontline role provides support to individuals with diverse abilities and complex needs across multiple locations throughout Calgary, including Group Homes, Community Access programs, client homes, and community settings. What to Expect in This Role We are specifically seeking candidates with open availability who are willing to support individuals across multiple programs and locations. As a Casual Community Disability Practitioner, you will work alongside various teams and be assigned shifts based on operational needs. While locations and shift schedules will vary, you will receive the same training, resources, and support as regular staff members to ensure you are equipped to provide high-quality, person-centered care. Our Group Living Department operates 11 locations throughout

  • You may support individuals with a wide range of needs, including: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Developmental Disabilities Cerebral Palsy Dementia Schizophrenia Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Mental Health Challenges Substance Use Concerns Mobility Limitations Complex Behaviours Trauma Histories Our services are built on a person-centered, trauma-informed, and inclusive approach that promotes dignity, choice, and independence.

  • Daily responsibilities may include: Providing medical, behavioural, emotional, environmental, and physical support. Supporting individuals with recreational and community activities such as swimming, volunteering, and interacting with animals. Transporting individuals to appointments, activities, and community events. Learning and implementing Individualized Behavioural Support Plans. Completing required documentation, including incident reports, behaviour tracking, and daily log notes. Assisting with household maintenance, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and other activities of daily living. Promoting independence, inclusion, and quality of life. Flexible Schedule The ideal candidate is available to work 4–5 shifts per week and can accommodate varying shift times and locations.

  • Details: Opportunities available across all 11 Group Home locations and Community Access programs. Casual staff are expected to travel throughout Calgary to support operational needs. Mileage reimbursement is available at $0.50/km when transporting clients for approved activities. Evening and weekend shifts are eligible for shift differentials of $0.25–$0.50/hour.

Minimum Requirements Completion of a minimum 1-year Canadian Certificate or Diploma in the Human Services field (equivalencies considered). Intermediate computer skills. Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License. Reliable vehicle with minimum $2,000,000 liability insurance by the time of hire. Comfortable supporting individuals with highly challenging behaviours, including addictions and mental health concerns. Must be willing and able to drive and work across multiple locations throughout Calgary.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum one year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities or complex needs. Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and weekdays. Flexible schedule and ability to adapt to changing shift times. Current certifications in any of the following: First Aid/CPR Positive Behaviour Supports (PBS) Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol (APRP) Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI/CPI) Trauma-Informed Care Harm Reduction Other relevant Human Services training Why Join New Age Services? Requirements
