The practice uses the Med Access EMR system to support coordinated, high-quality patient care and streamlined documentation.

Dr.

Kazimirski works closely with a dedicated family practice nurse who assists with patient education, chronic disease management, and preventative care.

The clinic also benefits from experienced clerical staff who support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative coordination, helping ensure a well-organized and patient-focused practice environment.

Job Description

Dr. Mark Kazimirski’s family practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for a short term leave of absence from November 15, 2026, to April 15, 2027. Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

Qualifications

All applicants must be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
