Working as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Surgical Care Nurse functions as an experienced self-directed surgical care nurse by assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Post-basic education in surgical/ambulatory care nursing on a unit specific basis, or equivalent combination of education and training.
Up to two (2) years recent related experience on a unit specific basis.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Level C.
Physically able to perform the duties of the position.
Criminal Record Check (CRC) required for professional registration/working with vulnerable populations
