Reporting to the supervisor, and under the general supervision of a radiologist, the MI Generalist Sonographer performs general ultrasound examinations. Duties include receiving and completing requisitions, forms and reports; preparing and monitoring supplies and equipment; patient monitoring; and operating ultrasound equipment, including preparing and presenting patient data to radiologist.
Graduation from an approved Ultrasound Technologist Diploma program.
Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS certification credentials as a Generalist Sonographer.
One (1) year recent related experience in a health care setting (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
Eligible for registration with Sonography Canada.
Ability to organize and coordinate workload, establish priorities, work independently and in a multidisciplinary team, problem solve, and communicate effectively (verbal and written).
Physically able to perform the duties of the position
