Position Summary

The Opportunity Blue Pine Clinic in Prince George is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner (0.4 FTE) to join a collaborative and supportive team providing safe and inclusive care to patients of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity for an NP with experience or interest in opioid agonist therapy, mental health, and substance use to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan. Deliver services with a focus on opioid agonist therapy, mental health, and substance use. Participate in patient attachment per provincial guidelines. Collaborate with a team of three Nurse Practitioners, two Family Physicians, and Patient Care Assistants. Utilize Electronic Medical Records and contribute to continuity of care. Engage in team-based care and contribute to a culture of safety, inclusivity, and respect. Qualifications & Skills Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a Nurse Practitioner. Experience or strong interest in mental health, substance use, and opioid agonist therapy. Commitment to providing inclusive, trauma-informed care. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. About the Blue Pine Clinic Blue Pine Clinic is located in downtown Prince George and was originally established through the Division of Family Practice – Prince George. The clinic is known for its strong support and understanding of the Nurse Practitioner role and scope, and fosters a collaborative, respectful environment. Salary Range

New Graduate NP - $149,382 1 Year Experience - $156,851 2 Years Experience - $164,320 Incentives & Support Competitive compensation and benefits. Professional development funds are available based on a learning plan after 6 months of work. Financial Support for Moving Expenses is available for eligible positions Four weeks of paid vacation time with one year of continuous service Qualfications Education and Experience

Completion of BCCNM approved Master’s degree level nurse practitioner program.

Eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with patients/clients/residents and families about health findings, diagnosis, treatment, self-care and prognosis.
  • Ability to collaborate, consult with and formally refer patients/clients/residents to physicians and other health professionals when appropriate.
  • Ability to critically assess and evaluate health research literature to determine best practices; ability to introduce education and evidence-based research.
  • Ability to assess and recognize population health trends; ability to plan and implement strategies for population-based prevention and health promotion.
  • Ability to implement and evaluate planned change.
  • Ability to supervise others and evaluate the care they deliver.
  • Ability to lead a team and work within a team.
  • Ability to self-direct, interact, and adapt effectively with other professionals in complex, dynamic situations.

Requirements

Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a Nurse Practitioner.
