About the role

The Sterilization Assistant is responsible for ensuring all dental instruments and equipment are disinfected and sterilized according to safety protocols. They will maintain the integrity of sanitation procedures to empower dental providers in delivering safe patient care.

A dental clinic located in SE Calgary is looking for a Sterilization Assistant on a full-time basis.

The ideal Sterilization Assistant for our team will be an essential part of the team by ensuring all dental instruments and equipment are disinfected and sterilized appropriately. The person we are looking for is excited to empower dental providers to deliver the finest and safest care to patients by taking ownership of the integrity of sanitation and infection control procedures and policies.

Schedule

  • 35-40 hours per week
  • Tuesday,
  • Wednesday,
  • Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm, and
  • Friday's 7:30am-4:30 pm

What we are looking for

  • Completion of a certificate in Medical Device Reprocessing or similar program involving the sterilization of medical equipment is an asset
  • Prior experience working as a Steri Tech or Level 1 Dental Assistant is an asset
  • Experience is not required - we're open to entry level applicants!
  • Experience with dental practice management software such as Cleardent is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
  • The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to consistently follow procedures without shortcuts.
  • Vaccines are up to date
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
