The Opportunity

The Registered Care Aide supports clients through medically supervised withdrawal management and residential treatment. The role functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other designate and works in cooperation with interdisciplinary team members to deliver client care in accordance with established policies, standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients/families and provides support following established care plans; greets patients/families and assists with storage of personal belongings and creation of a safe/comfortable environment
  • Assists in the delivery of nursing care under the functional direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse and performs nursing duties such as recording of blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height and weight, administering non-sterile dressings etc
  • Help clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and other mobility-related needs.
  • Responds to call bells/alarms by alerting the appropriate health care team member and/or assisting as necessary. Respond to emergent situations by calling appropriate code and assisting care team in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Contributes to the development of the plan of care by reporting observations and documenting as required any physical or mental condition, capabilities and identified nursing requirements. Provides input and suggestions to the ongoing maintenance and care for patients

Wage Range

The target hiring range for this position is $29.9198 to $36.8096 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
