Position Summary

Penticton Health Centre is hiring a relief, part-time (0.73 FTE) registered Social Worker (MSW). This position will provide coverage until return of incumbent. Days of work: Rotating Shift times: 09:00 to 17:00

It offers opportunity to work along side Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. The successful candidate will not only have support from the QRT team but the very supportive SOK Social Work team as well. This position is 4 days on 4 days off rotation allowing for work/life balance. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and families by providing comprehensive clinical counselling and therapeutic interventions within a collaborative healthcare environment. You will conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments, develop individualized care plans, and utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches to support patients and families navigating complex health and life challenges. Working as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, you will provide expert consultation to healthcare professionals, advocate for patients, and help ensure care is coordinated, person-centred, and responsive to individual needs. Your clinical expertise and leadership will contribute to care planning, resource utilization, and the identification of innovative solutions that enhance patient outcomes and address service gaps within the community.
