About the role

The RVT assists veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures while utilizing diagnostic equipment and monitoring patients. They are also responsible for building positive client relationships through compassionate care and exceptional customer service.

We are a mentoring team of DVMs and RVT's who encourage everyone to step outside of their comfort zone and learn new skills.

We are a fast paced environment dealing with emergencies in small animals.

Our team is supportive, easy going and enjoys light hearted times during the stressful ones.

Our ideal team member would be eager to learn, enjoy a fast pace of work while being able to multi-task and be superior in client communication skills.

We are open overnight Mondays through Wednesdays and 24 hours starting Thursday evenings to Monday mornings and all holidays to serve the needs of the community.

Is This Role Right For You?

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service.

The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Requirements
