Position: In-Home Caregiver – Part-time / Casual
At ComForCare Home Care, we help clients stay safe, independent, and enjoy life. As a caregiver, you’ll provide companionship, daily support, and personal care—making a real difference every day.
Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, and some areas of Burnaby and New Westminster. Shifts may also be available in North Vancouver as we expand our services there.
Fluent in Cantonese and English (speaking, listening, reading, writing). Additional languages are a strong asset– let us know if you are fluent in any other language(s)! (speaking, listening, reading, writing) Passionate about caregiving and helping others.
Our
Requirements:
Legally authorized to work in
Canada (proof required: passport, PR card, or work permit). Live locally to the areas we serve. Valid BC driver’s license and reliable transportation. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification. Health Care Assistant or Care Aid qualification preferred.
If you have caregiving certification, your application will be considered for Certified Caregiver. If you do not have certification, but are passionate, your application will be considered for Companion Caregiver (please note that pay is based on certification and experience).
to work with vulnerable clients: Up-to-date vaccinations (must include: Flu, COVID-19, Hep B, Tdap, MMR, Varicella) Negative TB test results Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (you can get this from the RCMP in the town/city you live in) What You’ll Do: Assist with daily living, personal care, meals, mobility, and light housekeeping. Provide companionship: chatting, walking, playing games, watching TV. Give families short breaks (respite care). Keep accurate records and represent ComForCare professionally. Salary: $20 – $22/hr (based on experience and qualifications)
