About the role

Perform quality control on hot lab equipment and radiopharmaceuticals while managing daily isotope orders. Administer patient doses and conduct various Nuclear Medicine scans and cardiac stress procedures across multiple clinic locations.

Insight is currently seeking Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full-time position that will rotate between 7 designated clinics in the Edmonton and immediate area. As a float employee, shift times and location are determined on the morning of each shift and can be scheduled at any clinic as business needs require.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control on hot lab equipment, gamma cameras, and radiopharmaceuticals, including manufacturing, QC, and shipping from the Insight Radiopharmacy.
  • Manage daily isotope and supply orders for the department.
  • Prepare and administer patient doses, including drawing, recording, injecting, and setting up IVs and ECG leads.
  • Conduct patient interviews, record histories, and supervise recovery following cardiac stress testing.
  • Perform and assist in various Nuclear Medicine scans and cardiac stress procedures (e.g., MIBIs).
  • Complete required documentation, organize previous studies, order accompanying X-rays, and maintain general housekeeping.

Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures and practices.

Must have complete knowledge of the images required for each exam by the Radiologists.

Knowledge of technical parameters for any examination requested.

Knowledge of exam storage and retrieval systems.

Clinical competency in medical nuclear medicine.

Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.

Qualifications

  • CAMRT/ACMDTT designation in good standing.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
