Manage tracheostomies.

Conduct home oxygen assessments.

Perform arterial punctures and blood withdrawal from arterial lines.

Insert arterial lines.

Assist with bronchoscopies and percutaneous tracheostomy procedures.

Transport high risk patients intra- and inter-organization.

Provide neonatal management including neonatal resuscitation at high risk deliveries, mechanical ventilation, Nasal CPAP, oxygen therapy, and assistance with airway management

Each discipline is focused on driving evidence informed practice to promote high quality patient and family centered care. The team has a professional practice leader (PPL) model for each regulated allied health discipline which promotes and enhances the interprofessional team. Each regulated discipline has their own PPL with dedicated time to enhance their communities of practice, represent their respective disciplines at committees, create policies & procedures, lead corporate level initiatives and drive best practices in the realm of patient care. We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Part Time acute care focused Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support our acute care areas, including but not limited to ICU, ED, Birthing Unit, Critical Care Unit and Medicine/Surgery units. Education and Experience:
Current registration in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
required
Current BCLS - required
Current ACLS- required
Current NRP - required
Previous experience in critical care - preferred
