About the role

Provides administrative and analytical support to an interdisciplinary team, coordinating workflows and managing documentation. Responsibilities include data collection, scheduling, meeting coordination, and handling general inquiries.

Description JOB SUMMARY

Within the context of a client and family centered care model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide administrative and analytical program support. Coordinates the workflow of assigned area. Types a variety of technical and non-technical material, correspondence, reports and presentations utilizing advanced word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. Assists in data collection, compiles and maintains a variety of statistical information for analysis and generates reports. Answers telephone and greets visitors, responding to general inquiries. Screens, prioritizes and redirects incoming and outgoing letter and electronic mail. Maintains calendars for team members, scheduling appointments and arranging meetings. Attends meetings to take minutes, types and distributes agendas and minutes, and follows up on action items. Creates various weekly lists/schedules and maintains timekeeping records for designated staff. Sets up and maintains filing systems.QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience Grade 12, graduation from a recognized secretarial program, plus three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge & AbilitiesAbility to type 45 words per minute.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to deal with others effectively.Ability to organize work.Ability to operate related equipment.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check. Details Please note that while there is a posting up in both Bella Bella and Bella Coola for this role, there is only one position available. However, the successful candidate may reside in either community and will be supporting two Mental Health and Substance Use teams. Occasional travel to the other community is required as part of the role. Travel will be arranged from the home community with eligible expenses reimbursed in accordance with VCH Policy and applicable collective agreements. Requirements
