Provide direct nursing care to residents with complex and chronic health needs using trauma-informed, person-centered, evidence-based practice.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support care planning and continuity of care.
Provide clinical guidance and day-to-day support to care staff based on established scope of practice and clinical standards.
Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in resident health status; initiate appropriate interventions and escalate concerns as needed.
Engage with residents and families to support informed decision-making and provide education.

Support safe, evidence-informed care within a long-term care environment
Eligible for Registered Nurse registration with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory authority.
Recent and relevant clinical nursing experience within the Registered Nurse scope of practice (assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation).
Ability to provide professional care promoting physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Ability to provide leadership, coaching and training to team members.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent critical thinking, relationship building and conflict management skills.
Ability to operate across multiple levels of care and within a transdisciplinary environment.
Strong understanding of working with various cultural backgrounds.
TB screening; Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance; CPR-C with AED; current registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association. Ability to perform shift work (days, evenings and weekends)
