The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the direction of the Supervisor Diagnostic Support Services and the Diagnostic Imaging technical staff, performs a variety of Diagnostic Imaging support functions including, but not limited to, patient transport, patient lifts, moves and transfers, clerical duties, supply inventory, clean and soiled linen handling services and other related duties. The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant will maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation. Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies and procedures and applicable legislation.Experience
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years recent relevant experience, preferably in a Diagnostic Imaging environment.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Health Care Aide certificate (certified) from a recognized educational institution is required.
Must have and maintain current BCLS certification.
Qualifications: and Skills
Ability to work co-operatively and courteously with patients and hospital personnel. Flexibility and independence in planning work and the ability to make priority decisions in carrying out daily activities. Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written.
