SUMMARY:Under the general supervision of the Manager and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, uses clinical judgement skills to diagnose and treat the patient, resident, client and significant others' responses to actual or potential health conditions. The Registered Nurse assesses, monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent potential complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatments of the patient. Is knowledgeable of and adheres to standards of professional nursing and patient care practice in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved nursing program with current registration with the BCCNM. A post-graduate program in a clinical specialty and up to two years of experience are required.
