ROLE PURPOSE OPEN YOUR HOME, CHANGE A LIFE - BECOME A HOME SHARE CAREGIVER (contract role).

Do you have an extra room or suite in your home?

Are you compassionate, dependable, and experienced in supporting adults with diverse needs?

We’re looking for individuals or families in Vancouver to join our Home Share Program, a unique caregiving opportunity where you open your home to support an adult with a developmental disability.

You’ll help them build life skills, attend appointments, and enjoy daily routines, all within the comfort and stability of your home.

HOURS This position requires the supervision of the client as needed. LOCATION North Vancouver, BC

What you'll do

Provide a welcoming, safe, and inclusive home environment Support the individual in daily life skills like meal prep, social engagement, appointments, budgeting, etc. Follow a personalized care plan developed with the individual and their support team Communicate regularly with Connective and participate in bi-monthly check-ins Respond calmly to challenges and adapt your care based on evolving needs

This opportunity is ideal if you

Have a spare bedroom or basement suite in your home (ownership or rental) Live in Vancouver Have experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health, or complex needs Are trauma-informed and familiar with harm reduction or positive behavior supports Can pass a Criminal Record Check (for everyone 18+ in the home) Hold or are willing to obtain a valid First Aid certificate

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE A monthly contract of $1,045–$5,015, depending on the level of support required Ongoing guidance and training from Connective’s Home Share Team Access to caregiver supports, mental health resources, and a collaborative network The chance to form a life-changing, meaningful relationship in your own home

COMPENSATION The compensation will vary according with the contract and individual being served. The contract may range between $1,045 - $5,015 per month.

IMPORTANT This is not a staff job. This is a contracted caregiver role where you support someone in your own home. You are not an employee of Connective. Instead, you will be an independent Home Share Provider working closely with our team and the individual's support network.

Requirements
