Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Basic Life Support, Level C (general duty staff nurse requirement).
ER Nursing Theory Level 1 or equivalent education and experience (temporary full time RN position in Emergency Department).
Pass the Island Health Basic Arrhythmia Challenge exam with a grade of 75% or greater.
Post-basic education for clinical areas and up to one (1) year of recent related experience (or equivalent combination).
Ability to apply the nursing process effectively.
Physical ability to perform duties.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to remain calm and act appropriately in stressful and emergency situations
