Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Basic Life Support, Level C (general duty staff nurse requirement).
Critical Care Certification or equivalent education and experience (ICU permanent full-time position).
Specialty certification for the unit (ICU/critical care context).
Pass the Island Health Basic Arrhythmia Challenge exam with a grade of 75% or greater.
Ability to apply the nursing process effectively to assigned patients.
Physical ability to perform the duties.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to remain calm and act appropriately in stressful and emergency situations.
Criminal Record Check required if working with or having access to children or vulnerable adults (CRC required clause present)
