ROLE PURPOSE The Licensed Practical Nurse, under the direction of the Program Manager, will provide nursing care to clients of the programs in accordance with the competency guideline and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides clinical care, administers medications and treatments, and collaborates with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans.
The Licensed Practical Nurse will ensure the health, safety and comfort of clients by supporting their physical, emotional, and social needs.
Works collaboratively with the residents and other team members to ensure that established support plans are implemented and changed as required.
STATUS Non-Union; this position is open to all genders.
WORK HOURS The casual position candidate should be able to confirm availability for 21 shifts (7 days) per month (7 overnight), or 15 shifts (5 days) per month (5 overnight) - if holding a FT job or student.

Ability to walk up and down stairs Ability to operate a motor vehicle Ability to move items weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to perform First Aid, CPR, and Naloxone administration Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time Ability to complete general housekeeping duties (i.e., sweeping, mopping, wiping areas, laundry, changing light bulbs) COMPENSATION The starting wage for this role is $36.29 per hour, plus benefits.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada, observe their weekly hours limit if under a temporary or study visa, and provide proof of eligibility if selected for the role.
