Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Basic Life Support, Level C (general duty staff nurse requirement).
Perinatal Specialty Certification or equivalent education and experience.
Willingness to train, orientate, and work on the pediatric unit (combined maternal child unit).
Post-basic education for clinical areas and up to one (1) year of recent related experience (or equivalent combination).
Specialty unit nurse positions require specialty certification for the unit (as applicable).
Ability to apply the nursing process effectively.
Physical ability to perform duties.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to remain calm and act appropriately in stressful and emergency situations
