REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE - AMBULATORY CARE (CASUAL) One (1) casual RPN opportunity is available within Ambulatory Care at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
This position is unionized with UNIFOR, Local 1106.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The position currently supports the clinics within Ambulatory Care.
The Ambulatory Care RPN will provide assistance to the physician as they carry out various minor procedures.
Work includes pre-clinic preparation, organizing patient flow, and managing supplies/materials.
Current Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses Current BCLS certification IV Therapy Course (or up to scope) Cardiac Monitoring / Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (or willingness to obtain within 3 months) Demonstrated Physical Assessment and wound care skills Ability to perform phlebotomy for collection of laboratory samples Familiarity with Meditech Order Entry Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Experience in working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting Demonstrated life long learner Able to work within a team and independently Team player Satisfactory performance and attendance required Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
HOURS: Must be available for all shifts as per department schedule, on an as needed basis
