About the role

Perform routine and specialized ultrasound exams while collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging. Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures and maintaining a comfortable clinical environment.

Remarkable Careers.” We are looking for recent or upcoming Diagnostic Medical Sonography graduates who are eligible for or registered with the ACMDTT to join our expanding outpatient clinics as full-time, part-time, or casual Ultrasound Technologists.

Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images.

Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.

What You’ll Be Doing Perform Ultrasound Exams: Conduct routine and specialized sonography imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.

Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.

Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.

Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and specialize in additional skillsets such as Interventional, MSK, and Breast.

Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.

Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track ultrasound equipment performance, document findings, and resolve basic issues.

Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.

What We’re Looking For Professional Membership: Current registration, or eligibility, with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT), or eligibility for registration.

Ultrasound Experience: Clinical competency as a generalist sonographer, with an interest in refining and expanding skills in advanced practice areas such as MSK, OB/GYN, vascular and cardiac exams, and interventional procedures.

Students and Recent Graduates: We welcome applications from Diagnostic Medical Sonography students completing their studies in 2026, 2027, or 2028, as well as recent graduates who completed their studies in 2025 and 2026! Position Types: Full-time, part-time or casual options to align with your schedule and career goals. Consistent Schedule: Daytime, Monday to Friday. Work Location: Clinic assignments will be discussed during the candidacy process and guided by operational needs and professional development, with preferences considered where possible. Out-of-Province Applicants: Eligibility for registration with the ACMDTT is required.
