Provide personalized home care support to older Australians, including domestic assistance and personal care. Facilitate community access for medical appointments and social activities to help clients live independently.
About the Organisation
Enhance the lives of older Australians by joining the Life Without Barriers team. Guided by every client’s individual needs and interests, our personalised in-home Aged Care services focus on empowering every person to maintain their home comforts, health, and connections within their community.
Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose organisation of 8,000 employees working in more than 500 communities across Australia. We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. We work with people who are homeless and refugees and asylum seekers. Join a community of people dedicated to breaking down barriers.
We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised home care support to older Australians in Noosa so they can continue living independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients’ homes to support multiple people each day, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed $1.01 per KM travelled while you are working).
We have a Permanent Part Time opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and no evening or overnight shifts. This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to make a positive impact in their community, while developing their skills and building a career.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
At Life Without Barriers we consider gender a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 27 (2), (c), (e) and (g) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, and so we ask that only Female applicants apply.
