- Competitive wages About the Job The Registered Nurse:
- Provides nursing services related to communicable disease prevention and control (including HIV and blood borne pathogens), reproductive/sexual health, immunization, harm reduction, diagnosis and treatment of acute minor illnesses, including basic wound care and mental health/substance use support for high risk and vulnerable populations
- Strong focus on prevention, education and health promotion as well as assessment, chronic disease management, coordination, support, liaison and referral of health services
- Provides outreach services as well as clinic services in conjunction with other team members
- Coordinates services with those of other community-based services and agencies. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker, strong communicator, advocate and able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary professional environment.
- Please note that travel is a requirement for this position and transportation arrangements must meet the Employer’s requirements. You are required to hold a valid BC Driver’s License and may be required to drive a personal car on mileage and /or be assigned a fleet vehicle as a condition of employment. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis. Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
