• Job DescriptionProvide hands-on physiotherapy and occupational therapy interventions under the guidance of a supervising therapist, assisting clients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADL) retrainingAssist in training clients on adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and mobility aids to enhance independence and safetyMonitor client progress, maintain accurate documentation, and report changes to the supervising PT/OTEducate clients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, equipment usage, and strategies for maintaining safety and independenceAssess and maintain safe, comfortable home environments that support client health and well-beingDemonstrate compassionate, respectful care in all interactions while advocating for patient rights and participating in ongoing professional developmentQualificationsCertificate or Diploma in the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant Program (Rehabilitation Assistant Certificate) from a recognized community college program or program, designed to education and provide the skills and abilities required to assist a therapist.Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and basic computer skillsCurrent police check for work with the vulnerable sectorAdditional languages, training, experience as asset is an asset but not requiredValid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicleAdditional InformationThis position is a current vacancy Spectrum Health Care is thrilled to be named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
