About the role

Assess, plan, coordinate, organize, implement, evaluate, and transition nursing and other care services for clients to support safe, realistic, and reasonable goals.

Develop, implement, and adapt care plans; deliver direct care; assess service eligibility; provide care management to help clients manage their own care and navigate community services.

Enhance quality of life for clients and families through consultation, conferencing, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.

Demonstrate continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing practice.

Maintain and advance own clinical competence.

Participate on designated committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

Provide time-limited short-term, goal-oriented nursing care in a home setting to support recovery, stabilization, and transition to independence or ongoing care.

Perform nursing assessments and interventions.

Provide simple and complex wound care.

Provide tube and drain care.

Provide compression therapy.

Provide negative pressure wound therapy.

Provide IVAD maintenance care.

Provide burn care.

Provide case management

  • Participates on designated committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned Time Limited is short-term, goal-oriented nursing care delivered in a home setting to support recovery, stabilization, and transition to independence or ongoing care. Duties include, but are not limited to, nursing assessments and interventions, simple and complex wound care, tube and drain care, compression therapy, negative pressure wound therapy, IVAD maintenance care, burn care, case management. The population is varied and includes all ages. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis. Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings rotating from 08:30 to 16:30, 16:00 to 22:30 hours.   • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Candidates must also hold a valid B.C. driver’s license
  • Use of a personal vehicle may be required
