Locations
Perform a variety of clinical procedures including venipuncture, radiology, and anesthesia for internal medicine patients. Collaborate with board-certified specialists and support staff to provide high standards of veterinary care.
Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or eligible for registration. Requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong technical skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Existing Compensation: $29.00 to $38.00, depending on experience and skills. Mississauga-Oakville Emergency and Specialty Hospital is currently recruiting for a dedicated full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. Our Internal Medicine-focused RVTs have the opportunity to work with and learn from other RVTs and knowledgeable support staff as well as our board-certified Specialists. Previous experience in a Veterinary Hospital is an asset; our RVT’s are given the necessary tools and resources to help them succeed. Additional qualifications and attributes you must embrace to be successful in this role: Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT or eligible to register Ability to perform a variety of clinical procedures including (not limited to): Venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, in house lab work, patient assessment, sedation and anesthesia, and patient recovery Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a steady, often fast paced environment Willing to further enhance technical skills and expertise Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment Confident and supportive team player who can also work independently when required Flexibility, willingness and passion needed to provide the highest standards of care for our patients, clients and each other!
