Provide essential assistance to residents with activities of daily living, medication management, and delegated healthcare tasks. Maintain resident records and facilitate a supportive, inclusive environment for individuals in licensed care.
Requires a Care Aide/Community Health Worker certificate and registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry. Candidates must have one year of related experience and valid First Aid certification.
Care Aide/Community Health Worker certificate Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience Knowledge of relevant healthcare laws and regulations Experience in the areas of Community Living and Licensed Care is preferred Good written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements outlined below are non-specific to the position, as such, there may be additional tasks required. Ability to walk up and down stairs Ability to operate a motor vehicle Ability to move items weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to perform First Aid, CPR, and Naloxone administration Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time Ability to complete general housekeeping duties (i.e., sweeping, mopping, wiping areas, laundry, changing light bulbs)
Ability to successfully complete a Criminal Records Check Ability to successfully complete reference check Ability to provide a record of work history Current Emergency First Aid Certificate (Please refer to the Certificates accepted in B.C. - WorkSafeBC) Willing to complete Food Safe Certificate (Level 1) COMPENSATION The starting wage for this role is $25.95 per hour, plus benefits.
