About the role

Set priorities and provide clinical expertise and leadership for the plan of care.

Plan and implement health care treatments and interventions.

Assign and delegate tasks to other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.

Ensure the client/family unit participates in development, implementation, and ongoing modification of the plan of care, including long- and short-term goals.

Establish a therapeutic relationship using effective interpersonal and interviewing techniques to support client choice and autonomy in decision-making and care planning.

Discuss and plan referral information with the client/family unit and other health team members, and initiate referrals to appropriate health care/community agencies in collaboration.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in rounds and/or patient care conferences to ensure effective, consistent, and comprehensive care planning and delivery

Shifts of work will be scheduled days Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 hours. Qualfications

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Completion of a recognized post-basic program in Oncology nursing and two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Certification in administration of chemotherapeutic agents is required. Please upload a copy of your certificate along with your resume
